Unreachable

When I met Vanille in the cathedral I wasn’t sure at first, what I saw and what was going on. I’m not even sure if Hope was able to understand it. He didn’t see all but he saw enough to realize, just like myself, that something had happened to Vanille. Now that I’m here in the cathedral again – with the facts I got, I start to see things different. Vanille is talking to me, but yet be isn’t looking at me. It seems as if her thoughts are in a completely different place. She told me, that she wants to atone for her sins, that she is willing to do what needs to be done, that she is ready for it... but I’m not so sure. Vanille is pacing up and down in this cathedral like a wild Behemoth, that is trapped in a cage – that wants to be free. I think Vanille’s mind decided that this is the way she has to go, that her only chance of salvation is this... but I think deep inside her soul Vanille wants things to be different. She wants to be with her friends and her family. She is the Behemoth - the cathedral and her own mind are the cage. But how can I set this Behemoth free, how can I tell her, that this is not the way to salvation? Even if I would reach out to her, I wouldn’t be able to get close enough to her to hear me... she would never listen to me... not to me...


P.S.: I still haven't found a solution to the Backface-Culling-Problem in Cycles so I cheated again and made the inner coat smaller. I tried a few things with the Backface-Node but that didn't work.
